Commercial Farming

Farming is the backbone of America. No one would argue with the important role it plays, not only locally, but in the food production of the entire world. As innovation and technology have advanced so has the farmer, but some models are timeless in their simplicity and functionality. Today there are many farmers who have been returning to the old ways. These men and women forgo the use of dangerous chemicals and fertilizers to ensure safe and sustainable foods. The realization has come to many that our resources are finite and need to be taken care of responsibly. By utilizing a method of recycling resources we are able to offer farmers an alternative to common practices. A little hard work and a little bit of knowledge can go a long way.

High tunnels and indoor green houses are perfect places to use GardenSoxx® because of the space restrictions. There have been several studies conducted with strawberry farmers who have increased their yields and cut costs as a result of their use of GardenSoxx®.

Using Filtrexx® GardenSoxx® mesh we can create rows for crops without having to till the soil. By doing so we are able to conserve the topsoil and still grow at the same time. Once the compost filled mesh has been used it can be cut open and the compost inside can be placed right onto the existing soil. This allows the soil to have additional nutrients added to it from a natural, organic source as well as keeping the land productive. You can grow crops and bio-remediate your soil at the same time.

With the aid of "No Till" farming soil conservation is taken a step further. By crimping a cover crop and leaving the stalks in place the soil is protected from erosion and also acts as a mulch and a weed blocker. Seeds are planted directly into the ground with a seed drill and allowed to grow as normal. For more information on this practice please take a look at the link below.
