National Palletized SiltSoxx™ Program

MCS Inc. is now the exclusive manufacturer of Palletized Filtrexx® SiltSoxx™ compost filter sock for the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Our manufacturing territory spans the entire states of New Jersey and Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania, New York City and the islands, most of Maryland through Washington D.C. and the Eastern Shore. MCS Inc. has set-up distributors throughout the region for easy access to palletized SiltSoxx™ compost filter sock for any industry. Increased availability coupled with the superior performance of SiltSoxx™ compost filter sock as an erosion control and  storm water BMP has many federal, state and local agencies rethinking the way industries protect themselves and the environment.

SiltSoxx™ compost filter sock are available in lengths of 150' for the 8" diameter, 85' for the 12" diameter and 45' for the 18" diameter for perimeter controls, on-lot controls, slope interrupters and more. They are also available in 10' sections of 8" and 12" diameters to be used as check dams and inlet protectors.

SiltSoxx™ compost filter socks are a proven BMP, not only for replacing silt fence, but also for many other uses throughout job sites. In Pennsylvania and Ohio SiltSoxx™ compost filter socks are being installed by the mile on Marcellus Shale drilling pads, access roads, and pipelines. Due to the presence of high quality trout streams and state waters SiltSoxx™ compost filter socks are the ideal BMP to use in this mountainous, environmentally sensitive region. The filtering capabilities of SiltSoxx™ compost filter socks in conjunction with their strength makes them perfect for any job.  MCS Inc. ships Palletized Filtrexx® SiltSoxx™ throughout the Marcellus and Utica Shale regions of PA, NY, OH, WV and KY.  We have distribution in Bradford, Tioga, Potter, Susquehanna, McKean, Elk, Cameron, Clinton, Centre, Lycoming, Sullivan, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Columbia, Wayne and Luzerne, Allegheny, Armstrong, Indiana, Cambria, Somerset, Westmoreland, Washington, Fayette, Greene, Blair, Huntingdon and Bedford Counties in order to service the PA Marcellus Shale market.  Aside from these counties in PA, MCS Inc. has distribution throughout the Southern Tier of NY and throughout the entire state of WV.

Developers have also realized that they can reduce the turbidity of discharges coming off of their sites by using SiltSoxx™ compost filter sock in place of silt fence and traditional inlet protectors. They are also realizing that they can reduce costs associated with the constant maintenance of silt fence. Reducing maintenance means reducing costs. The availability of palletized SiltSoxx™ compost filter sock means vendors can easily purchase and install SiltSoxx™ compost filter sock anywhere. MCS Inc. and our distributors can deliver pallets to warehouses or job sites to accommodate our client's needs.

In Pennsylvania SiltSoxx™ compost filter socks have been used for several years and have proven to be a superior BMP.  SiltSoxx™ compost filter socks are still an emerging technology in states like WV, NJ, MD, DE and NY.  MCS Inc. would be happy to visit your office or local Soil Conservation District  to provide a "Lunch and Learn" and discuss the uses and benefits of SiltSoxx™ compost filter socks.

See the table below for slope length calculations for each diameter of SiltSoxx™.
