Organic Gardening
MCS Inc. has the capabilities to create and install organic gardens on both large and small scale projects. MCS Inc. can create a traditional garden or by using Filtrexx® brand Gardensoxx® we are able to create organic gardens virtually anywhere. Gardensoxx® can be purchased in lengths from 2 feet and up. A Gardensoxx® garden can be created where traditional gardens aren't feasible. Since large areas are not necessary to create a garden with Gardensoxx® they are the perfect product for those who live in urban environments, apartments or anywhere that does not have the space to create a traditional garden.
We at MCS Inc. take pride in offering sustainable, organic fruits and vegetables, but we also take pride in educating our communities on the use and benefits or such produce. By providing education and access to these products we believe that we are laying the groundwork for a healthy, sustainable future for our children and our world. That is why MCS Inc. is working with schools to produce lesson plans that revolve around food and gardening. The ability to grow healthy, organic vegetables in the classroom is one way that MCS Inc. is helping children understand where their food comes from as well as the benefits of eating healthy. There is an epidemic of obesity in our country and children are becoming less active and less healthy in general. By teaching them about proper nutrition and avoiding or limiting certain types of food we hope to give them the tools and knowledge that they need to make healthy lifestyle choices. Education is the key.
Here at MCS Inc. we know that for some people fresh fruits and vegetables are not always readily available. It is our belief that teaching people to grow their own produce is the best way to ensure its availability. By working with Urban Garden programs and we are educating the local communities in healthy eating habits, organic gardening and ways to make a difference in their families lives and the lives of the community members around them. These programs also foster pride in the local community and a sense of ownership and responsibility towards creating a safe and nurturing environment for all who come there.
